POLICE SHUT DOWN A 'STOP-THE-VIOLENCE-FUNDRAISER'... BECAUSE A HOLOGRAM WAS DEEMED A THREAT:

Police in Indiana turned up at a 'stop-the-violence' fundraiser last month, not to support those who were fighting towards a great cause, but to remove people from the building due to a hologram of a controversial rapper being a 'threat'.

The fundraiser was set up in effort to help two individuals who were victims of violence recently in Chicago.

Chief Keef, a rapper who is well known by the police was supposed to turn up at a hip hop stop the violence fundraiser last month but couldn’t make it in person.

As a result, the rapper announced that a holographic image of himself would be featured instead... The concert promoter had reassured the police concerning the rumours of Keef’s possible 'turn-up' to the event.

Originally, Keef announced on his Twitter account that his hologram would be turning up at a venue on the North side of Chicago, however, the information he gave was used as a 'red-herring'... At around 10:15 pm Keef’s hologram was projected for a short time at the 'Pavilion' at 'Wolf-Lake' in Hammond.

The event, dubbed 'Craze-Fest', was quickly shut down after the hologram appeared... Police cut the power before Keef’s song had finished and quickly stormed in to take everybody out.

The police earlier stated that they would be cutting the power if the rapper was to show up at all, but does the hologram really count?

Hammond Police Lt. Patrick Vicari later announced that... "Even though I was told 'No-Chief-Keef' by the promoters, they tried it anyway, so we shut it down... We turned the power off, we’re closing the park down".

A video was posted to the rapper’s instagram page containing footage of the police grabbing and pulling people out of the venue.

Alki David, a member of the event, decided to write an official statement on the 'police-state-censorship'... "Shame on the mayor and police chief of Hammond for shutting down a voice that can create positive change in a community in desperate need... And for taking away money that could have gone to help the victims’ families.... This was a legal event and there was no justification to shut it down besides your glaring disregard for the 'First-Amendment' right to free speech... You’ve clearly been bullied by the proud mayor of the Murder Capitol of the U.S., Rahm Emanuel.... Mark my words, if you censor us you only make us stronger... Plus we’ll be back to sue your ass".

The Rapper, Cheif Keef has been in trouble with the police several times before... pulling guns, being sued, being charged, being evicted from his home and many others only scratch the surface of the trouble he has been in.

Do you really think that the police should be allowed to shut down events due to a controversial individual attending?

And if so, should it be shut down over a hologram of the person?

A hologram is simply a '3D-video' and, of course, cannot harm you physically.
